What works, what to weigh

Strengths

3 reasons to book
  • Unbeatable central location — Right on Vitosha Boulevard, you're surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants, with most of Sofia's historical sights within walking distance.
  • Friendly, helpful staff — Guests repeatedly mention the warm and welcoming team, with several naming specific staff members for their service.
  • Clean and comfortable rooms — Rooms are described as clean, comfortable, and spacious, with some featuring air conditioning and TV.

Worth weighing

3 to weigh
  • Apartment-style hostel — This is a converted apartment, not a purpose-built hostel. That suits many, but don't expect a large, hotel-like lobby or facilities.
  • Check-in hours are limited — Check-in is only from 11:00 to 23:59. If you arrive late at night, you'll need to coordinate with the hostel.
  • No pets allowed — If you travel with a pet, this isn't the place, but the hostel is pet-free for allergy sufferers.

“Levitt Hostel is right in the middle of downtown, on Vitosha Street, famous for its bars and pubs. It's also close to every historical attraction. The staff are very helpful and kind, and I really liked it. The beds are comfortable and clean. The hostel is actually an apartment converted into a hostel, but everything is fine.”
